Thanks to all of the donors to Kindness In A Box, a new medical clinic will be opening in 2018. Doctors and medical staff from the District of Maras Hospital will be coming to Kacllaraccay once a month to provide medical care for the children and their families. Also, a plan is being developed to have nurses from the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College - St. Louis, Missouri to come to Maras twice a year to work with the medical staff at the Maras Hospital. They will also provide medical services, trainings and classes to the families of Kacllaraccay and Mullacas. Kindness In A Box will host the medical staffs at the medical clinic in Kacllaraccay and the Kindness Center in Mullacas.
"It's been ten years since I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and saw the impoverished, indigenous Quechua people. I knew immediately that I would help them make a better life for themselves and their children. I continue to be humbled by the Quechua people, their grace and dignity. They are the guardians of ancient cultures and traditions and like all of us, only want what is best for themselves and their children"..... Lynda Burgman, Founder-Kindness In A Box
