Thanks to the Dorothea Haus Ross Foundation who supported the construction of the Kindness Center in Mullacas
Kindness In A Box, with the help of the Ross Foundation and other donors, built two community Kindness Centers. One is located in the village of Mullacas and one Kindness Center is located in the village of Kacllaraccay. Both centers serve approximately 500+ families in those villages with educational opportunities, community gatherings, Teen Nights, and many youth and adult activities.
The Kindness Center located in Kacllaraccay was built with the cooperation of the Mayor of Maras who provided trucks, engineering assistance, concrete and paint for the center. The people of Kacllaraccay made over 3,000 adobes (bricks) for the construction of the walls and hauled the rocks from the mountains for the foundation. Kindness In A Box assisted with professional construction workers, on-site project manager, materials, equipment and supplies. The center is furnished with tables and chairs and is used for the once a week KIAB School Lunch Program which feeds over 100 children each week.
